Очень красивое эмо середины 90х, с характерным звуком. Я такое очень люблю=)

Название Don Martin 3, взято в честь великого американского мультипликатора.

Трио из города Сент Августин, Флорида Don Martin Three играли в период с 1993 по 1996. Состав: Колин - гитара и вокал, Брайан - бас и Дейв - барабаны. В 1994, первая 2-песенная (селф-тайтлед) семёрка вышла на Oberon Records, тиражем 300 копий (можно сказать что она была выпущена собственными силами, так как лейблом Oberon занимались непосредственно ребята). В следующем году, дискографию DM3 пополнил тройной сплит с Moonraker и Hope Eternal Spring, эта пластинка до сих пор держит одно из первых мест среди самых хитовых эмо записей середины 90х, изначально она вышла на лейбле Kurt & Jason (Belladonna Records) тиражем 507 копий, позже было допечатано ещё 300. Наконец, в 96 группа записывает песни для первого LP, который вскоре был отправлен на фабрику. Получив пластинки, парни обнаружили что весь тираж был полон дефектов и вокал звучал не так как нужно (это было обуслевленно как ошибкой на самом заводе, так и довольно низким качеством винила, к тому же сами песни были записаны в кустарных условиях). Тем неменее, группе понравилось как звучит запись и они решили оставить все как есть. Ходили слухи, что Джейсон Тийсингер из группы Palatka, Jason/Kurt, позже Belladonna Records планировали переиздать этот LP, с «нормальным» вокалом, но к сожелению ничего не вышло.

Late night collision:
Two machines crossed paths unexpectedly.
Oddly, their engines continued to run individually,
as if oblivious to the fact that they had become one, mangled unit.
This wasn't supposed to happen.

to watch crippled hands create a fire.
to sketch an arrow.
to burn beside her
the blood of pattern.
the sound of egg drop.
our lips of old.
o' how these robust hips burn.

I'm seeing long strips of wheat, and dry winds.
I'm seeing that you're no longer alive, and I hold that against you.
I'm seeing anxious lines of automobile traffic as far as the eye can see.
But I still can't see the light at the end of this tunnel.

She whistled a tune. Her lips exploded into a smile.

If only you could see the halo over the field tonight.. If only you could see
how wonderful the twisting fog is, and how it is making me feel so close to you.
Motors hum, equipment switches on and off, valves open and close,
but the truth rings clear: We have a destination. Friend, let us swim in
the afformentioned lake and feast on fish from it's icy waters. Let us for a time,
if only for a time, make it's steep bank our home upon which to dig a pit,
in which to build a fire.(Fire as a metaphor)...they passed by,
waving arms in gestures...

inefficient engine.
a suden urge to break everything i own. vision cut short. hands cut free.
you speak of walls but i speak of cycles, and they always spin.
you could say i'm egde..manual communication made it easier for us to lie,
and from where i'm standing no walls have been constructed, only cycles.
i saw what was left of you. forced back..
hands outstretched in the cold night air. offering all my broken belongings.
on by one i raise them up. to share them all with you.
