Öxxö Xööx - это группа, которая экспериментирует в стиле avangard doom/gothic metal. Свою деятельность она начала 2006 году в городе Дьепп, который находится во Франции. Особенной чертой группы, что делает её довольно оригинальной, является лирика, а точнее язык, на котором она написана - он вымышленный. Этот язык основан как на реальных словах, так и выдуман интуитивно, он переводит спонтанные эмоции, которые генерируют звуки. Таким образом, этот язык позволяет полностью выразить уникальный взгляд музыкантов на вещи. Выдуманный язык, также в роли инструмента, выступает как противоположность тому, чему учит наш мир, как способ борьбы с деспотическим образом мышления. Сама группа выложила на свою страницу на сайте bandcamp алфавит и перевод некоторых слов.

Название Öxxö Xööx имеет несколько значений. Если букву "Ö" представить в виде нуля, а "X" - в виде единицы, то получится "0110 1001", что при переводе на шестнадцатеричную систему счисления означает "69" ("make love, not war"). Также название означает символы Инь-Янь и змея Уробороса. Лирика группы доносит свой философский посыл: в ней прослеживается сострадание ко всему живому, осуждение и ненависть к проблемам человечества, призывы к прекращению вражды. Она пропитана темами экологии, природы и Земли.

Музыка Öxxö Xööx, как говорит сама группа, является духовной: в ней есть своя философия, она грустная и печальная, но в то же время полна надежд, доброжелательности, света. Группа хотела донести ею всю красоту, которая создаёт связь между Землей и небесными мирами. Существует сильная связь между музыкой Öxxö Xööx и визуальными эффектами: на сцене группа одета в костюмы, что снова делает её оригинальной.

Первый альбом группы под названием "Rëvëürt" (в переводе "Бунт в сердцах") вышел 10 октября 2011 года на компакт-дисках собственными силами музыкантов. 1 августа 2015 года планируется выпуск альбома на двух виниловых пластинках посредством компании звукозаписи Blood Music. Тогда Öxxö Xööx представили свою оригинальность миру метал-музыки. После группа даёт местные концерты в поддержку нового альбома. В 2013 году к команде присоединился новый ударник - Isarnos.

Следующий альбом под названием "Nämïdäë" (в переводе "Последняя слеза"), работа над которым началась в 2013 году, вышел 26 мая 2015 года на том же лейбле на компакт-диск и в цифровом формате. На песню "Lmdlm" вышел видеоклип. Помимо студийной работы музыканты активно гастролируют. Так, в апреле 2015 года ребята приняли участие в лондонском мероприятии The Underworld Camden вместе с Igorrr.
