Project 27 is a pop-punk band from Long Beach, New York. Shortly after they formed in June 2001, Project 27 recorded their first real demo entitled, "My Right Here Hurts," consisting of six songs, in October 2001. The band then went on to record 12 songs at Vudu Studios in Freeport, NY in August 2002. In July 2003, Project 27 recorded 11 tracks at Blue Line Recording Studios in Lido Beach, NY. Bassist Guy Luerssen left the band in the summer of 2004 and Johnny Stamos of the popular John Stamos Project took over on bass. Later, in December 2004, they went to Five Towns College Studios to record three brand new tracks with their new producer/engineer Chris Fasulo. The three songs from that session appear on their "Time to Fold" 7", on Boston's Don Giovanni Records (www.dongiovannirecords.com). In the summer of 2006, Project 27 recorded three new tracks for their second 7", entitled "Next September," released April 10, 2007 on Rally Records (www.rallyrecords.com). Past releases are available on www.interpunk.com. Project 27's influences range from old school punk bands such as the Ramones, to the underground pop-punk sounds of Screeching Weasel, and the new school pop sounds of Blink-182.

Сегодняшняя поп-панк сцена Нью Йорка богата на талланты, но среди всего разнообразия команд особенно хотелось бы выделить именно этих ребят. Project 27 играют очень мелодичный, легкий, ненапрягающий поп панк на грани старой и новой школы, поэтому я уверен, их творчество прийдется по вкусу любому ценителю этой музыки.
Как-то зимой на ластфм нашел человека с впечатляющим топом команд, разговорились с ним и потом оказалось, что он является merch-guyем и тур менеджером Project 27. По его словам, P27 должны были записать свой дебютный лонгплей в начале весны. Договорились, что закажу этот релиз через него, но что-то всё никак руки не доходят... Если всё же получится достать сиё творение, то обязательно рипну и выложу тут.

Думаю, уже многие успели заценить этих ребят по моим ранним заливкам. Настал черед ознакомиться с их свежей работой - дебютным лонгплеем "Smarten Up". Насколько я знаю, он еще не вышел в широкую продажу, на интерпанке и в других подобного рода местах замечен тоже не был... Поэтому эксклюзив, спешите слушать. :) По сабжу могу сказать, что альбом оправдал все мои ожидания и претендует на звание одного из лучших релизов года. А Project 27 из разряда перспекивных и подающих надежды переходят в высшую лигу андеграундного поп-панка!

ох какая классная тема, жаль что тупо не заметил ее когда создавалась) отличные пацаны, альбом один из наиболее порадовавших в этом году.

парам-пам-пам! только что сам скачал, еще в даже до конца не дослушал... впечатления от релиза самые лучшие!

тут заценил хоть кто-то, что есть еще команды, которые поп-панк в 2010-м играют так, как будто и не было всяких fys, syg и армии прочих безликих почитателей сладких брейкдаунов?
