Bohémien
Итальянский коллектив, собранный приблизительно в 1985 году, записавший легендарный альбом Danze Pagane и распавшийся в 1987. На этом история не заканчивается, ибо спустя 15 лет имело место возрождение группы с немного изменённым составом, живые выступления, ререлиз дебютника в 2003, выпуск в 2005 нового миника, а также сборника включающего rare&live композиции.
Начинал слушать их с Danze Pagane, который до сих пор нахожу великолепным релизом - старошкольным, мелодичным и с особой колдовской атмосферой, подчёркиваемой напевным итальянским языком. Ну а песня Nella Nebbia, лично для меня, один из любимых треков в жанре ever.
Nearly 20 years ago, the Bohémien were writing Sangue "e Arena", which is considered one of the most interesting moments of Italian gothic. Then followed two years of important concerts, from the debut at the Piper Club in Rome (and then the QBO in Bologna), to the stages of stadiums like the Flamino, and the first edition of "Arezzo Wave".
Like many bands from that period, they had a short life, ending their activities in 1987.
15 years later, the Bohémien came back releasing a new edition of their legendary demotape and then their first official cd, entitled "Danze Pagane", which was released by the record label In The Night Time, in October 2003.
The album, which has an old-school deathrock sound, had acclaimed reviews in the press, especially abroad, where it was considered a masterpiece by the well known British critic Mick Mercer.
At the same time the song "Eclissi (dell anima)" was included in the "Pagan Love Songs" compilation CD (featuring other artists as Sex Gang Children, Mephisto Walz, Cinema Strange) which tells 30 years of gothic music history, through the most danced and requested songs at the most famous German gothic party.
Bohemien now feature a slightly different line-up, with the addition of Stefania Minutaglio (voice and keyboards) and Giovanni Staccone (bass) to the original members Alex Buccini (voice), Luciano Liberatore (guitar) and Walter Vincenti (drums) they have started to play live again.
Playing live is one of their strong points. Their shows are a perfect union of irony, theatrics, beauty and power, highlighting the technical abilities of every single member and the performing qualities of both singers.
After two year from the first official release, "Danze pagane", the Bohemien are back with new astonishing EP.
"La parata del circo" contains four new songs: "La parata del circo", "Anemia (da qui all'eternità)", "Nell'ora dell'enigma" and "Specchio".
Even with the typical Bohemien sound these 4 new songs outline a more marked inclination for a deathrock/horror sound, with a different use of the keyboards, more relevant in the melodic and the rhythmic part of the songs.
The EP includes two bonus tracks, "Anemia" English version and "Anemia", remixed by S*phz (Il Giardino Violetto) with an elettrogoth/ebm old school sound. The EP was released in occasion of their participation to the Drop Dead Festival in New York City (28-31 October 2005).
