CxFx - фасткор, трешкор из Венгрии. Стартовали летом 2008 года. Выпускают первую демку и начинают петь по подвалам...
Crippled Fox started as an idea by KisG (a.k.a. Speedy Gonzales) sometime around spring of 2008. The band was brought to life for three reasons, first of all, he had written songs for his other band Motivation, but those songs weren’t good enough for the other members, so he wanted to play them with another band. Second, he wanted to play drums for these songs, and thirdly, he wished to play faster music then Motivation.

He started to look for members. First he asked Sebes (a.k.a. Willy Fox Da Vox) to be on vocals, who was from an already broken up band, Karatekid. Perfect voice, professional frontman & truly positive personality. For bass he found Csirke (a.k.a. Dontsee Turkey), who played in the band Hide And Seek (H.A.S.).

There was an important role for this project, they decided to keep it secret, not telling anyone. The part of guitarist was not that easy to find. A couple of friends were asked to play, but none of them had ability or time to join the band. Those who were asked kept the secret, thanx for their loyality. Almost 4 months had passed, when Némó (a.k.a. Fox ’N’ Roll) asked the band if he could join. He knew about the formation and wished to be a part of it. Némó played bass in Motivation, though he could play some guitar as well. They decided if the guitar parts weren’t played well enough, he would leave the band. Everybody agreed, so they went to the rehearsal room of Motivation in November 2008. KisG wrote all the songs, and soon they had enough for a demo. The band had no name or style yet, but what was important was to be fast, short, and funny. However, influenced by bands like Municipal Waste, Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., Bones Brigade, Reproach, etc., soon it turned out this project would become a thrashcore (punk/hardcore/thrash in 1 minute) band, no doubt about it ! That’s how it started.

Choosing a band name was very simple. Everyone brought ideas, wrote them down, and chose the proper one. Sebes (vocals) and his former band mate from Karatekid created several funny mosh styles during a Fluff Fest, and invented the crippled fox. So Sebes advised that the band should take this name, and Crippled Fox was officially born. Everybody loved it!

When they were ready for the first recordings, they booked a day in RevolverSound Studio under a fake name, and recorded 6 songs Live. In the studio people kept the secret, and they didn’t reveal it to anyone. So the secret remained undisturbed even after the band had posted everything on their myspace site in Januray of 2009. They used fake names, photos were showing only instruments. Soon people started to rumor around on forums and blogs about who the members were. Sebes identity was revealed quickly because of his familiar voice, but the rest of the members were unknown to everyone.

Why was important to keep it in secret ? Because of testing the local scene politics and bad mouthing assholes, to see if anyone could love a band despite who the members are. Unfortunately there are people in the scene who judge the music according to the members of the band. For more then 6 months, the people in the scene were guessing the members and feedback were very positive, from the country and around the world.

As the band first show was near, the shit started as they expected. Some kids found out who was in the band, and then started talking shit. The same kids who at first loved the band, now hated them because of a certain member they didn’t like. The band won the kids over in the end, and the badmouthing people stopped talking shit. The test was succesfull !

Before their first show, the band went into the studio and recorded their first album with 15 songs, plus added the previous 6 song demo as well. The Cd was released by Esco Zoo Music Label from California, and KisG’s new label, Flipped Up Records. Title of the album, “If I Lived In Venice Beach”, reflected the band’s many influences. Their first show was with Killin’ It from the U.S.(New Jersey), and other great bands.

From this point on, the band played several shows around the country. They had got an offer from Indonesia to be on a split CD with Uno Paso Delante, to be released by Harkor Temaram Records. On the split, the band appeared with songs from the first album, and this release was printed in a limited edition. By autumn, the band had gotten tons of requests to do split projects and compilations, so non-stop they wrote and recorded new songs for everything.

In October of 2009, they went to do their first European tour with fellow band Motivation, which was a succesfull trip for the band. After the tour, Némó (guitar) had problems with the new songs, he couldn’t play them properly. So it seemed the band was in a bind. During the “Tribute To Tony Soprano” & „International Thrash Party” studio session, Némó couldn’t play the songs, so he decided to quit the band, and everyone agreed. Since KisG wrote all the songs, he returned and re-recorded most of the songs. At the end of December, Némó played his last show with Crippled Fox at the X’mass Hardcore Superbowl Festival, and quit playing in Motivation as well.

The band started to look for a new drummer because KisG wished to play guitar. In the beginning of 2010, Csonti (a.k.a. Fox Bones) said he would help out the band for the “Tribute To Tony Soprano” split release show in February. The gig was great, and the formation had a future. In the meantime, they had to record brand new songs for a split 7”, but Csonti wasn’t available. So the band asked Daddy (a.k.a. Daddy Fox), the new bass player of Motivation, to help to play guitar. KisG played the drums for the last time on a record. This split 7” was with GxFxT(Good Fucking Times)from Lithuania.

After recording the split in March, the band never stopped. They played numerous shows, both in Hungary and other countries. Sometimes KisG on drums, sometimes on guitar. After a while, Csonti became a permanent

member of the band. In the summer of 2010, they recorded the next split 7” with the Brazilian band, Lei Do Cao. Taking a short break in August, the band was ready for their short tour in September. During the tour, a sad fact faced them, Sebes wished to quit the band. By the request of the band, he remained till the end of the year, although he visited the practices less then before. During this time, the band appeared on compilations from Scotland and Germany.

In December, they recorded tracks for another split with German band, Bob Rooney. They played another X’mas Hardcore Superbowl show, and this time Sebes left the band. Even though the Bob Rooney songs were recorded in December, Sebes recorded the vocals in January, and that was his last appearance within Crippled Fox.

It seemed the band was over, because Sebes was the perfect frontman, lyric writer and partner. But the band had to keep going, because of their love of the music, not to mention all the projects they took on. So the work went on.

Puco da Ghost (a.k.a. Salvatore Fox) soon joined the band on guitar, and KisG took the mic. Puco played several additional guitar solos on almost every CxFx recording, so it was a bit obvious to ask him.

Crippled Fox appeared on the Tilos Radio show, and talked about the band’s past and the future. With the new line up, they gave a release show for the Bob Rooney split CD, GxFxTx split 7”, and the Tribute To Tony Soprano 7” records.

In March they went off their third European tour along with Motivation again and after alone in April for a short Italian tour.

Right after the tour Puco Da Ghost decided not to continue as a full member of the band so Daddy Fox took the guitar and playing the shows. In the meantime CxFx recorded a brand new song for a compilation tape by Knochen Tapes from Germany.

So far, this is the story of Crippled Fox.
