Earth Crisis - straight edge, vegan metalcore группа из Сиракуз, штат Нью-Йорк. Они выпускали свои записи и выступали с 1992 до 2001г. Earth Cisis известны тем, что поддержали права животных Animal Liberation Front (Фронт Общественного движения в защиту животных) и продвигали здоровый образ жизни, включая строгую диету вегана и воздержание от алкоголя и других стимулирующих веществ. Их лирика полна воинственных заявлений,а так же грустных и угнетающих выводов, сделанных из наблюдений за жизнью современного общества. Послание группы должно было дойти до молодого поколения и показать альтернативный образ жизни. Заглавная песня, под названием "Firestorm" (огненный дождь), с их второго миниальбома, стала гимном для людей, верящих во власть и перспективу жизни "под знаменем" vegan/straight edge.
Первые два миниальбома "All Out War" (все воины) (1992) и "Firestorm" (огненный дождь) (1993) сделали группу популярной и узнаваемой в узких кругах хардкорщиков. Следующие два альбома "Destroy the Machines" (уничтожение машин)(1995), и "Gomorrah's Season Ends" (дни Гоморы сочтены) (1996) задали новую планку в записи и выпуске независимых хардкор релизов. Популярность группы набирала обороты, и это не осталось без внимания звукозаписывающей компании Roadrunner Records. Новый контракт подтолкнул группу быстрее записывать альбом, названный "Breed the Killers" (Порода Убийцы) (1998) совместно с приглашенным вокалистом и гитаристом группы Machine Head'Роббом Флайнном. Альбом "Slither", был выпущен в 2000-м году и ознаменовал собой начало нового периода в музыкальной жизни группы. С очень хорошое звучание и чистота записи удивили некоторых слушателей и, в свою очередь, открыли группу для более широкой аудитории. Последний альбом группы, "Last of the Sane" (Последний из Нормального) (2001) - дань уважения Earth Crisis к тем группам, которые влияли на них в прошлом. На альбоме были песни Rolling Stones, Slayer, Led Zeppelin, and DeadKennedys.
В 2001, Earth Crisis отиграли свое последнее шоу на Hellfest в Сиракузе, Штат Нью-Йорк. Вокалист Карл Бихнер (Karl Buechner) вместе с Бульдогом и Эриком Эдвардсом сколотили новую банду - Freya, до этого известную как Nemesis (Немезида). 12 октября 2006, на ведущих панк и хардкор сайтах появилась информация, Earth Crisis отыграют (так называемый реюнион) один концерт на фестивале в Мэрилэнде (Maryland Metal and Hardcore Festival) 27-ого января 2007.

Fall Out Boy drummer Andy Hurley has joined straight edge hardcore mob Earth Crisis in time for their forthcoming US tour with First Blood and Thick As Blood.

Hurley will temporarily fill in for Dennis Merrick, who is unable to tour with the band for several dates.

“As sad as we are that Dennis won't be able to do the entire tour, we are really excited to have Andy Hurley filling in on drums!” say the band in a post on Twitter.
