Evolucid - суть четыре личности с богатым жизненным и музыкальным опытом. Первые признаки этого прожекта наметились ещё осенью 2001 года, когда Джеми Дамас и Крис Харрел основали группу Funkadelic Combustion. Осенью 2003 после 2-х лет выступлений и инди-записей, Джеми и Крис "завербовали" вокалиста и гитариста Джошуа Думаса. Трио перебазировалось в Новый Орлеан и образовало группу под названием Euphonic. В 2004 году, вскоре после того, как группа начала выступать, Джошуа забрили на войну в Ирак. В это время Джеми и Крису приходилось играть в разных левых проектах и подрабатывать в студии. Спустя пару дней после того, как Джошуа вернулся с войны в 2005-м, разразился ураган Катрина. Он опустошил побережье и оставил группу без крыши над головой. Предстояло проделать тяжёлую работу, чтобы вернуть жизнь в привычное русло. Крис перебрался в Южную Калифорнию. Чуваки же остались в Новом Орлеане, чтобы Джошуа мог закончить там службу по котракту. Со временем пацаны поправились, собрались духом, накопили материала и преодолели свои жизненные трудности. Джеми и Джошуа потихоньку перебрались к Крису. Но втроем они не смогли бы реализовать все свои идеи. Рэй Кампос успел поиграть в различных дэт-митал, хардкор, грайнд и джазз бандах, и внёс свежую струю в музыку группы. Его умение играть на ударных, тромбоне и его вокальные данные пришлись как нельзя кстати. Вот так и образовалась группа Evolucid. Разнообразие - вот их конёк. Это проект пустил длинные и глубокие корни, это группа личностей, через звуковые волны выражающих свой жизненный опыт и свою философию.
Evolucid is the cohesion of 4 separate individuals with past experiences of life, music, and reality. Early signs of this project started in the fall of 2001 when Jamie Dumas and Chris Harrell started the project Funkadelic Combustion. Their sound came from wanting to have variety in a live presentation. In the fall of 2003, after 2 years of gigging and an independent release, Jamie and Chris decided to recruit Joshua Dumas for vocals and guitar. The trio relocated to New Orleans to start a new project called Euphonic. In 2004, soon after Euphonic started gigging, Joshua was called to serve in Iraq. This left Jamie and Chris to play in various New Orleans projects and spend time in the studio writing. Days before Joshua returned home from Iraq in 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the gulf coast leaving the band homeless. What followed was a stressful journey of getting life back in order. Chris relocated to Southern-California. The brothers resided in New Orleans so Joshua could finish his contract with the military. While time was taken to recover in different places more writing was taking place and spirits were growing and evolving from the barrage of new realities that had been delivered to them. Jamie and Joshua eventually moved to So Cal to hook back up with Chris. When the band mates were back together a very diverse collection of music and understanding of life had been assembled. The entire vision could not be brought into reality with a three piece setting. Ray Campos had been in plenty of death metal/hardcore/grind/ and jazz bands to contribute a new aspect to the music. His drumming, vocal, and trombone abilities just happened to be the perfect piece. Thus Evolucid was born from playing music in different scenes, surroundings, and having such a wide variety of influences to draw from. The band uses these styles to deliver a powerful message. Their diversity is a key formula. The roots of this project have held long and strong. This a group of individuals from separate life experiences and philosophies manifested into various soundwaves.
Evolucid has been touring the northwest, westcoast and south since 2007. The band has decided to go green and convert their bus to bio-diesel. This summer the band is going on a documented full US tour in support of their debut album entitled «Kundalini», set to be released Aug 5th. The album will be downloadable on I-tunes and Digstation. Be sure to check out Evolucid in a town near you this summer and fall!!!

бОльшая часть альбома представляет из себя рэпчину с джазом и фанком на живых инструментах, но периодически этих товарищей заносит в адский мат-метал. Всем любителям необычной музыки рекомендуется к прослушиванию!

более сбалансированный. "Хип-хоп" который вполне могут закотироват рокеры. Маткор перешедший в фанк-фьюжен хотя местами еще жестковатость сохранилась. Очень хорошо ложится на спокойный день своим полным умиротворенным настроением. Хотя альбом местами немного нудноватый получился, но это так для маленький минусик
