Биография:
Shrine ’69 came to be amid the auburn fall of 2010, when guitarist Teddy-James Driscoll and drummer Thomas Delaney resolved to marry their craft and form a band that echoed the log-fire crackle of their favorite records. Born of vintage Pentagram, Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac (from whom they procured their name), and –of course- genre defining forefathers Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, the duo soon recruited old friends, bassist Justin Smith and vocalist Matthew McGoldrick, completing the line-up.
After an impressive first year as a band Shrine '69 have some memorable shows under their belts including two sets at Dunajam festival in Sardinia and a successful headline tour of the UK and Europe in October of 2011.
2012 has seen Shrine '69 go from strength to strength, ever maturing as musicians and building their sonic arsenal as well as playing sets at both London and Berlin legs of the years Desertfest festival to great aplomb.
Unfortunately in the summer of the year, drummer and founding member Tom Delaney had to part from the band to pursue his academic ambitions. However the spot was filled by long time friend Jack Newnham (Old Man Lizard, Meadows, Toom, Overrider) just in time for Shrine '69 to join up will pals Old Man Lizard for their first purely-UK tour.
Shrine '69 are currently in preparations for recording their first full length LP and plotting world domination for 2013.
