Гурт із Цинциннаті, штат Охайо. Грали на одній сцені з такими монстрами як Protest the Hero, Haste the Day, Between the Buried and Me, Project 86, і тд. У 2007ому випустили перший запис "SO CAME THE DECIMATION".
У 2009ому випустили альбум City Of Light.

Як тільки завантажив і ввімкнув, то одразу нагадали PTH звучанням і рифами, вокал теж змахує на них. Перше враження - да, круто, але я це вже чув. Прослухавши ще кілька треків я тупо почув і протестів, і бтбам і хьюман абстракт!! Але скатаних рифів тут нема, тупо атмосфера і стилістика партій прошита всім найкращим від цих гуртів
Два вокаліста просто неперевершенно вплітаються в загальний мікс, хоча чистий трошки незвичний місцями, клавіші просто ідеально підкреслюють атмосферу. Трек The Collapse шедевральний
Ще подобається те, що запис не вилизаний до ідеальності, а живий.
Реліз 2007ого, на мою думку, оригінальніше і красивіше, але 2009ий якісніше. Але всім знайомитись з обома релізами, обов*язково.
І да, скоро в них буде прощальний концерт
надіюсь, що це лише піар хід.It is with many deep rooted emotions that we bring what may be an unexpected message to those who have known 'The Beneath.' Originally formed back in 2005 with the dream of doing something different and uplifting, it grew into not just a band, but a family, a group of brothers aimed at changing the world around them. In it's current state; 'The Beneath', will be losing one of it's original members, bassist guru Rob Chipman, bearded wunderkind guitarist Logan Powers and the myth, the legend, vocalist Tyler Jones. As many of you may have noticed Tyler has not played the last few shows with us, and huge hats off to the original stunning vocalist Ryan Brink for coming in and ruling everyones faces as we have tried to keep this train moving. But as everyone moves on to higher education, and Logan to the other side of our great nation, we feel like it's too much change too quickly to not avoid this sudden halt. There is still uncertainty in 'The Beneath' camp as to whether or not the flame will burn on in the future. But one thing is for certain, DO NOT MISS AUGUST 22ND AT THE UNDERGROUND!!! This is where many of us started on our musical journeys and feel this is the most fitting show for us to end it. So please come and support our dream and enjoy the night with us one last time. We love you all!!!
