Manetheren ("манетерен") - в перекладі з Древнього Наріччя циклу фентезійних романів Роберта Джордана "Колесо Часу" означає "Гірський прихисток". Саме таку епічну назву в 2003 році для свого проекту взяв Гейб Йоргенсон (або Azlum). До 2012 року проект встиг випустити цілих три альбоми, які по суті, успіху не мали зовсім. Навіть повноцінними релізами їх важко було вважати, допоки в 2012 році проект під своє крило не взяв французький лейбл Debemur Morti, який перевидав на своїх дочірніх сублейблах дві останні роботи, а першу разом з музикантами перезаписав і перевидав в якості фактично четвертого альбому "Time." Крім того, в тому ж таки році до Manetheren приєдналась досить цікава персона з культового французького БМ-гурту Blut Aus Nord - Thorns.
Свій фактично перший продукт сумісної роботи, концептуальний альбом "The End", маєте можливість заслухати прямо вже.
"The End" - це альбом про людину, яка подорожує світом від самого його - світу - зародження до загибелі. Кожна пісня розповідає певну історію, завершенням якої наш прота- (анти-?) постає в образі бога чи смерті. Лірично композиції зачіпають теми антихристиянства та нігілізму.
