продолжаю развивать "гранжевую" тему:stupid:

в 1991 году когда половина американской молодёжи ходила в клетчатых рубашках и рваных джинсах, заслушиваясь невермайндом или пёрлджемовским тен, трое участников Dinosaur Jr., наверное насмешливо улыбались) ведь музыка которую они играли ещё в 1985 году стала всемирно популярной. но для них не изменилось ничего..группа абсолютна ничего не выиграла и пожалуй так и осталась очень недооценённой. а между тем они оказали наверное самое большое влияние на всю сцену Сиэттла(хоть сами были из Массачусетса:stupid: )

выросшие на американском панке и таких группах, как Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers и Rolling Stones, трое участников Dinosaur Jr. - гитарист\вокалист Джэй Мэскис, басист Лу Барлоу и ударник Мёрф смешали всё это в одну кучу и получили очень занимательную музыку: грязный звук, отличные мелодии, длинные необычные соляки, квакушка и классный вокал.

вобщем-то музыка Dinosaur Jr. очень интересна и довольно-таки необычна. пожалуй аналога им и не найдёшь. тут вся заслуга принадлежит Джею Мэскису, потому что его стиль игры на гитаре, даже скорее стиль соляков, не так уж часто встретишь, ну а вокал у него вообще замечательный - такой отмороженный немного, ленивый, но при этом красивый) и вообще он очень интересный человек - как оказалось схе(и он сам рассказывает об этом, упоминая известную песня Minor Threat), с нестандартным мышлением(этого из интервью видно).

группа выпустила ряд действительно сильных альбомов, но больше всего котируются ранние Bug(послушайте кстати последнюю песню там) и You're Living All Over Me, а также записанный уже не в классическом составе Where Are You Been. ну а вышедший в 2007 году Beyound, доказывает, что у старичков ещё есть порох в пороховницах! офигеннай пластинка - я включил её в свой топ за 2007 год.

Dinosaur Jr. - Farm (2009)

Farm, the 9th Dinosaur Jr LP and second since their unexpected 2005 reunion, will be released by the band's new label, Jagjaguwar, on June 23.
The band promise that Farm stays true to their loud, pummeling, overdriven-classic-rock roots; with Barlow's fuzz bass and J Mascis' smokin' lead playing once more on proud display. And, judging by its kooky, Tolkein-ish, totally-baked artwork, Dinosaur Jr are seemingly out to summon 1973.

только вот те 320 походу так же звучат как и 128)
 
хороший альбом, местами даже хитовый такой) но всё равно 2007 мне больше понравился, не знаю почему даже
 
а по-моему, "Farm" на порядок лучше 2007го - весь такой в лучших традициях Динозавра Мл.

слушаю и слушаю без перерыва :pray:
 
вот, у Лу Барлоу вышел сольник, думал куда запостить, сюда или в тему о Sebadoh, остановился тут, динозавры здесь вроде более котируемые. Очень интересно что этот дядька записал...

The shoe also sparkles in the light and features "Dinosaur Jr" embroidered under the Swoosh, as well as an image from the "Farm" cover on the inside of the sole. This is a Quickstrike release meaning only select shops will get it, and once they do, it'll go quickly.

Mike Johnson – The Uninvited [Uncollected & Unreleased 1994-2007] (2010)

Whether as a solo artist, an accompanist for Mark Lanegan, a bassist for Dinosaur Jr., or a sought-after mixer, the talented Mike Johnson has always been an active part of the indie rock scene.
Starting in 1985 with the melodic punk-influenced combo Snakepit, he sang and played the guitar with that group for six years. In that time they managed to release material locally in Eugene, OR, but around 1990 Johnson was tired of the group and they broke up. Johnson met up with J Mascis in this time, and eventually found his way into Dinosaur Jr. as a bassist during their 1990/1991 tour. He remained for the following album, 1993's Where You Been, and eventually outlasted original drummer Murph and became the only other member left besides Mascis. On top of that, he also began playing with Mark Lanegan, becoming the instrumental force behind his solo albums while doing occasional gigs with him. Johnson moved on to projects with Juned in his spare time, and finally released a solo album (Where Am I?) in 1994. His material echoed the stark acoustic work he had done with Lanegan, and showcased his folky songwriting skills. The Dinosaur Jr. album Without a Sound came out at the same time, and Johnson's time was mostly taken up by his work with Mascis. But 1995/1996 was a busy time for the musician, as he released Year of Mondays, toured, and did another album with Juned. When Dinosaur Jr. came back together for their last record, Johnson was barely involved and was not surprised to see the band fall apart in 1998. He turned his attention to his solo effort I Feel Alright and some work with Lanegan, but surprisingly took an invitation from Caustic Resin to work on their new album. Their collaboration, Trick Question, appeared in 1999, but Johnson wasn't strongly involved at that point. After more work with Lanegan, he spent the next few years playing live gigs with his various collaborators and putting together his new album, 2002's What Would You Do, an effort inspired by the tragic passing of friend and founder of the Up label Chris Takino. After four years of relative inactivity, Johnson returned with his rawest, most guitar-driven album to date, 2006's powerful Gone Out of Your Mind. <AMG>

Больше люблю их раннее творчество, хотя новое тоже нравится. Но первый альбом, лично для меня, самый-самый.
 
я из-за Your Weather последний альбом едва ли не больше остальных полюбил.
но вообще много хорошей музыки смогли сделать парни :pray:
