EYE - heavy psych/space rock квартет из города Columbus, Ohio. Группа состоит из бывших участников ретро-хард группы The Pretty Weapons и стонер-думовой Teeth of the Hydra. Дебютная запись получилась очень интересной - Hawkwind'овский космос, Pink Floyd'овская психоделия, Black Sabbath'овский грув и OM'овская медитативность. Из современных групп в качестве подобных так же на ум приходят Naam и Mammatus.

Похоже, новой музыки в этом году будет действительно "a lot" :scream::
So, since January we have been hard at work in our private studio on what will soon emerge as a new full length LP of all new material as well as a brand new 2XLP.
We are excited to share all this new music with you. It has been an extremely FUN and laborious project.
We have sincerely had a blast in the studio.
We are mixing the new full length as we speak and are scheduled to finish the 2XLP release with the wonderful Jon Fintel mixing and mastering after we return from Austin Psyche Fest.
Here is a fun rough of the new single we will be unleashing soon entitled "Searching". Written and recorded by the band.
Stay tuned and thanks friends of EYE...

И ещё давно хотел спросить, стОит ли в эту тему залить единственный (и имхо дичайше крутой) альбом The Pretty Weapons (предыдущая группа гитариста и барабанщика, раздают по прог-психодел-ретро-харду)?
Отдельную тему создавать особого смысла нету.
Или у всех есть / никому не надо?

The Pretty Weapons from Ohio, U.S.A. is a band that did play some 70's Hardrock with some Psychedelic and Space influences.
This CD is from 2006 and was only sold at the band's shows.
The music of The Pretty Weapons is really great. The combination bass and drums reminds me very much of Roger Glover and Ian Paice from Deep Purple. My favourite song from this album is Snakebite.
This album is a recommended one. Try and see for yourself.

"Short lived psychedelic rock band from Columbus, Ohio self-released this album in 2006. A perfect mixture of Budgie, Pink Floyd, and UFO 1. Adam Smith, guitarist and vocalist of Deadsea, contributes a killer organ solo to the track "Siren's Song."

This is a the song that we wrote and recorded last Wednesday evening before it was even a day old. This will be included in our next record...
We are well aware that many of you have been anxiously awaiting for new records to emerge and we appreciate your patience along the way. Lots of new changes, new lives, newborns, as well as new inspiration have and will be flowing through the band. Мммда... Затянули они с новым альбомом. :hz: Да и обложка спиженна у Tame Impala что-то не блещет оригинальностью.
 
Судя по трейлеру , новьё ближе к первому полновесу ( это радует :smile:) Ну , а то, что в ноябре , то неплохо - и до ноября до хрена всякой вкусности выходит . :pray::oh-yeah:

Всего две недели осталось до релиза.

Ого, а я всё думал: как-то странно, что об уходе оригинальных басиста и гитариста писали, посвящали им благодарственные посты, а клавишник как-то незаметно пропал, а Lisa Bella Donna внезапно оказалась в авторах первых альбомов.
Спасибо, что прояснил.

Биджо, мне очень понравился. Очень логичное и достойное продолжение предыдущего "Second Sight". В статье выше автор тоже нахваливает.
Особенно классная концовка - душевная акустика со спецэффектами "Dweller Of The Twilight Void" и эпический эпик, в котором есть тупо всё (даже драм соло), "As Sure As The Sun".

Десь на якомусь сайті натапив на них як один з прикладів сучасного прогу, але чується тут (принаймні на останньому альбому) лиш один Пінк Флойд :dontknow:
