Биография:
Рижская группа Freelancers - один из примеров панк-рока в Латвии.
Это пятеро молодых музыкантов: Андрей – бас-гитара, Андрей – соло-гитара, Олег – барабаны, Антон – вокал и Влад – ритм-гитара, которые собрались вместе в августе 2007-го года.
В то время ребята были вдохновлены музыкой таких групп, как Rise Against, Pennywise, Offspring, Ignite, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Strike Anywhere и т.п., но постепенно, в творческом процессе, нашли свой собственный стиль исполнения. Его можно определить, как мелодичный панк-рок с остросоциальными и личностными текстами. Freelancers движет не только любовь к музыке и желание занять свое место в музыкальном мире, но и наивная вера в то, что вместе мы сможем изменить мир.
Группа ведет активную концертную и гастрольную деятельность в Латвии, Эстонии и Литве.
В Риге группа Freelancers выступала в таких клубах как: Melna Piekdiena (M.P. Black Friday), Rockabilly, Rock’n’Riga, 16. Korpuss и т.д.
В 2010-м году группа записала свой первый DIY-альбом, песни с которого разошлись среди друзей и поклонников еще до выпуска диска. Осенью этого же года Freelancers посетили с туром Россию, успешно отыграв в Санкт-Петербурге, Петрозаводске, Архангельске, Северодвинске, Вологде, Москве и Карачеве. К этому времени в составе группы произошли изменения: на место басиста Андрея пришел другой басист Андрей, который очень быстро стал полноправным членом коллектива. А после возвращения в Ригу Freelancers ждала новая потеря - группу покинул вокалист Антон. Оставшиеся музыканты, продолжая репетиции, объявили конкурс на замещение вакантной должности, и место у микрофона досталось молодому, но подающему большие надежды, Лео.
В настоящее время Freelancers продолжают концертную и студийную деятельность, записывают новые песни, одна из которых посвящена хоккейной команде «Динамо-Рига» и планируют новый зарубежный тур, на этот раз в Украину и Беларусь.

Группа из Риги, играющая мелодичный панк рок с хорошим чистым вокалом и мои хорошие друзья по совместительству. Когда-то уже просил вас проголосовать за их на тот момент единственную записанную песню. С того момента было записано еще немало песен, 7 из которых более-менее сведены и слушабельны, после чего запись прекратилась (надеюсь, временно), так как гитаристу пришлось вернуть комп со студии на работу.
