если описать Scrotum Grinder в нескольких словах - они играли все, чем жил хардкор 90х. это замес из вайленса, грайндкора, эмо хадкора и чуга-чуга риффов. поэтому у них есть много общего с .Nema, но за два релиза (не считая сплита с Combatwoundedveteran) и четыре года существования ребята не только показали свое лицо, но и сыграли то, что актуально и сейчас - хаотичные скоростные разбеги, больные диссонансы и плотный атакующий звук
Scrotum Grinder was a hardcore punk band from Tampa, Florida, United States. The band consisted of people who also were/are members of the following bands: Assück, Slap Of Reality, Failure Face, Hankshaw, Watermark 6000 and In/humanity, to name a few.
The band released a self-titled 7" record and a split with another hardcore band called Combatwoundedveteran, both of which were released on Burrito Records. Later, they released a full length album called The Greatest Sonic Abomination Ever on Prank Records.
The band are especially known for their epic cover of the Judas Priest version of Joan Baez's "Diamonds and Rust". At a 1999 show in Atlanta, they played "Diamonds and Rust" for approximately eighteen hours. Toward the seventeenth hour of the song, prior to its explosive crescendo, singer Michelle Koger passed out from exhaustion. The band continued to play for another hour, after which Koger was revived and then able to sing the final verse of the song to the roaring applause of the crowd.
They broke up in 2001.
